Steve is a Principal Team Teach Trainer with over 20 years experience in delivering courses. Steve, Michelle, Richard and Caron are lead trainers and Andrea and Alison are assistant trainers. Our evaluations reflect how much staff enjoy the courses and gain knowledge and skills as well as reflecting on their practice. They feel confident to ask questions and recognise we work in schools as well so we can empathise with experiences and support staff with finding solutions, with restrictive physical interventions being a last resort.

Team Teach believe that everyone should have access to their accredited, award-winning professional development in positive behaviour support and behaviour de-escalation training. The training empowers individuals, teams and organisations with the necessary tools and skills to effectively support behaviour in a positive and respectful manner.

All new courses require registration for Team Teach Connect. The setting will be required to subscribe for access to the Connect platform. This includes a Knowledge Hub with CPD, podcasts and downloads. This will be invoiced directly by Team Teach Ltd. Information from the Team Teach Website:

For 2025, the annual Team Teach Connect fee will reflect the size of your setting and the number of Team Teach-certified staff. Here’s our new banded pricing structure: 0–24 certified staff: £160 (+ VAT) 25+ certified staff: £200 (+ VAT)

This per setting fee ensures every certified individual in your setting can access Team Teach Connect’s award-winning Knowledge Hub resources and the Support Service. How it works: For existing customers, the fee will be calculated at your renewal date. For new customers, it will be based on your first training event in 2025. As this is a per setting charge, every Team Teach certified individual in your setting can access Team Teach Connect. Team Teach Connect is a mandatory part of Team Teach training. Your staff require an active subscription for their Team Teach certificates to remain valid.

A toolkit of holistic strategies on de-escalation and crisis intervention, both verbal and non-verbal for supporting and reducing instances of disruptive and distressed behaviours.

This course will equip individuals with an understanding of the values and philosophy of the Team Teach approach to behaviour support. We are motivated by the need to support the individual with the aim of keeping those who have become distressed safe, as well as those around them.

We believe that all behaviour is communication being driven by experiences and emotions. We deliver a toolkit approach that is 95% understanding behaviours and encouraging de-escalation. The 5% assesses the need for physical intervention in conjunction with a need’s analysis.
