Team Teach Behaviour Support Training
(Levels 1, 2 & Advanced)
A toolkit of holistic strategies on de-escalation and crisis intervention, both verbal and non-verbal for supporting and reducing instances of disruptive and distressed behaviours.
Courses will equip individuals with an understanding of the values and philosophy of the Team Teach approach to behaviour support. Team Teach are motivated by the need to support the individual with the aim of keeping those who have become distressed safe, as well as those around them.
We believe that all behaviour is communication being driven by experiences and emotions. We deliver a toolkit approach that is 95% understanding behaviours and encouraging de-escalation. The 5% assesses the need for physical intervention in conjunction with a need’s analysis.
Our training is also suitable for professionals working in Health and Social Care

Top Up Modules
Sometimes settings require a top-up module to support specific individuals, consider particular techniques or personal safety. It may be around non-physical interventions as well.
Top Up modules vary in length depending on what is needed.
Catch Up Courses
Catch Up courses consist of staff from several settings where other staff in their school have already been trained, or the school are training staff on a rolling programme (releasing a few at a time). The core content of the courses is the same as that delivered in schools so if you have new staff, or someone was absent when the training was carried out, they can ‘catch up’ with their colleagues.

“I really enjoyed the course…I stayed focused and I’m looking forward to the next lesson. It’s nice to see people who show a passion for their work and children, thank you both.”
